Welcome!

I started this blog in 2010 as a creative outlet and a way to channel my love of cooking, nutrition, holistic health and the written word. It was the height of the food blogging craze, social media was skyrocketing, and I was a college student studying marketing communications and interning for several food-focused companies. I used this humble space to chronicle it all as well as the trials and tribulations of an early 20-year-old navigating a relationship on the path to marriage, starting my professional career, and creating a beautiful and cozy domestic life on a budget.

Fast forward 14 years and with 3 young children, a home we are in the process of remodeling, and having navigated many career twists and turns, I’m continuing to share my love of good food, nutrition, holistic health and wellness, and creating lovely interiors within the context of my new full-time vocation – mother, wife, homemaker, and entrepreneur.

Most mornings, you'll find me up before dawn sipping coffee or green tea, packing lunches, and sneaking in a few moments for spiritual nourishment. Most nights, I'm cooking a homemade meal for my family. And most weekends, we spend outside adventuring.

In addition to this blog, way back when I authored a monthly column, Nourished, which appeared in the Los Altos Town Crier. I shared innovative ways to prepare fresh, local foods, perfect for any occasion. You'll find the column's archive on the Articles page, as well as other sites I've written for

Outside of holistic health, I have spent more than a decade in B2B corporate marketing for high tech companies. You can read more about my professional business life here.

One of my favorite quotes for business and life comes from Frank Slootman, legendary CEO who I worked for at ServiceNow. He says, “Leaders are not people with management titles per se. Leaders set standards of performance for others to follow. High performance organizations exhibit leadership coming from all directions, it is not an exclusively top-down phenomenon. Anybody, anytime can decide to be a leader. It is just a different mode of getting up and going to work in the morning.”

The way we conduct ourselves matters – whether your daily work is in the home, in the office, or both. I believe we all have the capacity to act in a way that inspires others to follow.
